Designing Furniture with Google Sketchup
I have been doing more and more woodworking ever since we moved into our new house. It started with me installing trim everywhere: crown molding, baseboards, chair rails, door and window casings, etc. But as my skills and confidence grow (and as my wife has discovered that the stuff I build looks good), I've been doing some more ambitious projects, like renovating our fireplace and installing wall frames.
One move was enough
Just when I thought I was done with moving, my employer decided to move their offices to Burbank from Glendale. I am in charge of making sure that our server room gets moved over. Things are going pretty smoothly so far. Here are some pictures.
Treo 650
The Treo 650 is old news now, but I've had a good experience with mine, so I'll write a little about it. I got a Sprint T650 a week or so after release, and was able to consolidate the functions of my Blackberry, cell phone and Palm into a single device that I can carry in my pocket. I was really tired of the bat-utility-belt look, so this was a good thing. I chose the Sprint model primarily due to the higher data transfer rates provided by its CDMA support. The GSM version of the T650 does support EDGE, but the EDGE coverage in my area isn't as good as CDMA.
